Raq Akulai vs. Reki Shuto This battle is for the purpose of testing the combat system. Standard Testing Rules will be used and Abilities will be enabled. ....Hawk Eye, you know the drill ( yush! Finally said it. Now I'm cool) ___ Name: Raq Akulai Age: 15 Description: Raq is often the quiet one found at the back of the classroom listening and analysing everything. Though he seems anti-social, the youngest of the Akulai family is merely trying to avoid getting into any sort of trouble. Although he is perfectly capable of leading a functional team no matter the situation, he finds it more amusing and easier to let others lead.
Raq is rather well built for his age at 5'11", 134lbs. Atop his head is a mildly striped blue turban, with a shocks of blue hair poking out from the sides and the front. Darkened skin is evidence of the countries and villages he has migrated to and from throughout the years, as well as his blue eyes are evidence of his Akulai heritage. He wears a plain netted shirt, a green & blue scarf around his neck, and a pair of basic blue cargo shorts. Raq prefers to walk bare footed.

Name: Reki Shuto Age: 15 Description: Reki almost always has a smile on his face, as if in a state of eternal bliss. Although he is a ninja, he has one greater love: music. It is not rare to see Reki humming to himself, dancing in place, or making a beat with his mouth in any situation. In fact, those who have been "privileged" to know Reki long enough describe that he has his own rythym playing in his head constantly, which affects much of what he does and says. Despite his playful exterior, Reki is actually quite talented; both as a musician and a trained shinobi. Hair: Golden blonde, seems to always have a "perfectly styled cowlick". It is much longer on top then it is around the sides and back of his head. Eyes: Brownish, almost yellowish Build: 5"10; fairly tough looking. He has a surprising amount of agility and flexibility. Clothing: Reki wears a black jacket with a randomly colored shirt underneath. His khaki pants are held up by a leather belt. Black and white shoes keep his feet warm. A leather strap across his body holds up a messenger bag across his side, and he wears a matching pair of leather-bound goggles across his head.

Hawk Eye! I believe your character is at CHK: 3(+1). First turn he starts at 1, then +1 for his next. Next turn it's 2, then (+1) for his next (which was your last turn). So, Reki's last turn was 3, and now it's (+1) for when your next offensive phase comes.

As far as the chakra thing goes, did you forget I created one chakra last turn? So I ended up getting 2 CHK that turn, making it 4. Mhm. My bad. I've got a question, now: My Disable 3... it lasts three full turns (One set of DEF PHASE and OFF PHASEs), right? So, you went -1 Turn for that last DEF PHASE, then after your next DEF PHASE & OFF PHASE, it'll go -1, then you have 1 more DEF OFF Phase without arms, right? 'Cause that's actually only 2.5 turns, but, jeah. Just wondering if that's how it went. Thanks___

No, effect durations are calculated at the beginning of the victim's attack phase, in most cases. I didn't purposefully design it with this in mind, but it does effectively handicap effects applied by DEF skills, which is fair, because frankly, effects applied by signature DEF skills are very cheap. You can't avoid them or prevent them 99% of the time. So instead of having 3 whole turns of Disable, I only suffer 2.5, because it was applied to me already during my attack phase (your defence phase). Effects applied to me during my defense phase (your attack phase) don't count towards duration of effects (with exception). So technically, it's the difference between 3 and 3.5 turns. !!! Nice move. I completely forgot you had Pin Down. That's gonna cost me. Very well played By the way, I'm going to be making changes to all of these jutsu. It won't affect our current battle (not that it will matter at this point), but of course, these things come up as the jutsu are debuted. Anyways, on with the battle! Er... Reki starts his turn. Reki ends his turn. Yeah, good game.
You can check the jutsu in the Ninja Creation guide for all of the changes involving the starter jutsu. I think they'll work a little better now. I'll probably lower the AP cost for Whirling Kick too. It was a huge pain to use it, and hardly worth the effort.
