As Phoenix Wright would say..."OBJECTION!!!"
I argue that this rule has not yet been made entirely certain.
It has been stated that the reason for this rule is in order for one to continue the string of attacks even after one moves after dodging. However, take this scenario.
[ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ] [ ][ ][ ][N1][ ][N2]
The Ninja on the left uses Pin Down Twice. Pin Down's range cannot hit the square right in front of it, but can hit the two squares after. The ninja on the right dodges the first Pin Down and moves up one space.
By the rules stated for Square Dodging, N1 would take N2's original position and use Pin Down on N2's current location. As N2 is now only 1 space away from N1, N1's second Pin Down misses. The entire purpose of Square Dodging is defeated.
Is this what would really happen? Or is there another element to the rule?

N1 wouldnt take N2s place because he wouldn't be within one space of the target: [ ][ ][ ][ ][2] [ ][ ][1][ ][ ] [ ][ ][ ][ ][ ] Three spaces away doesnt warrant for a "follow". Is that what you meant? Or I figure you meant left ? If it was the latter, than, yeah, there needs to be some clarification on the subject. I'll probably modify the rules to allow you to "skip" actions or something, but until then, your battle will have to go along according to the current rule.

So, wait. [ ][N1][ ][N2], would be considered a three squares difference?
That's my bad, then. I thought when you said difference, you meant the number of spaces away, not including the square the dodging person is standing on. I get it now. :D Thanks!

I think you may have not understood the rule completely. Whether or not the enemy is within 2 squares of the user is applied after the target moves.
