A land of endless desert. Hidden beneath the dunes lies the Hidden Sand Village, a village notorious for its elite shinobi. While their ninja are very powerful, they lack sufficient members to be a major military power like their counterparts in the Land of Flames. Regardless, the ninja of Sand practice their ninjutsu relentlessly, in particular, those of the wind.

Because the Land of Winds is covered in desert, it makes an ideal location for open showdowns, due to the lack of obstacles across the landscape. Battle Locales: Mirage Desert, Sand Steppe, Oashisu Bazaar

Murky swamps and foggy marshlands mask the presence of the Hidden Mist Village. This poor water country makes up for its lack of resources with a brutal training regiment. Hidden Mist shinobi are known to never back down from their mission, following their objectives even into death. Most Mist ninja have the ability to call upon fog and misty veils in conjunction with powerful water ninjutsu.

The murky swamplands of the Land of Water make it the perfect place for water ninjutsu users. Battle Locales: The Marsh, Misty Lake

This harsh, icey tundra is inhabited by equally cold residents. The Lightning Country has a long past of quarreling with the other nations. The location of their Hidden Village, the Village of Clouds is known only to a handful of outsiders. Little is publicly known about the Cloud ninja, except that they have a knack for lightning jutsu.

The climate of the Land of Lightning is frigid and unforgiving. Shinobi who wish to fight here will have to combat the enviroment, in addition to their foes. Battle Locales: Tundra Ridge, Ice Demon Mouth, The Snowy Pass, Alpine Valley

Rocky gorges, rugged valleys, and jagged caves; the Land of Earth is a labyrinth of stone and quarry. Only by navigating through this maze will you find the Hidden Stone Village and its tough-as-rocks shinobi. The Land of Earth is a roost for outlaws and bandits. Many of the nation's towns resemble those of the Wild West. The wandering shinobi of these parts are feared for their power of earth style ninjutsu.

The craggy ranges of Earth Country provide a wide range of battle options. Ninja who gather hear had best prepare for a fevered fight. Battle Locales: Craggy Canyon, Show-down-town, Eagle's Roost, Mistral Cave

A lush green countryside is a perfect guise to mask the true nature of Sound Country. Ruled by an evil and powerful shinobi lord, the Land of Sound is a constant battle ground for gangs, clans, and the lord's devilish army. The villages that dot the farmlands don't usually take kindly to outsiders, and suspicion lingers amongst even the tightest of circles. The Hidden Village of Sound has come to great success under the lord's control, making devastating breakthroughs in the way of sound-based ninjutsu.

The rolling plains of Sound Country offer some diversity with forests, marshes, and mountain ranges, but all of locales ensure for a hostile and violent battle. Battle Locales: Shinobi's Dawn, The Hut, Echoing Forest, The Lord's Courtyard
